Cyndi Lauper is hitting the road for the first major tour in over a decade and has just announced the final leg of her ongoing ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ Farewell Tour. The pop icon is slated to kick off the massive 24-date tour on North American shores in mid-July 2025 in Buffalo, New York, visiting all the major venues before taking her final bow at the end of August 2025 in Los Angeles, California.
It is undeniable: Cyndi Lauper is one of the biggest superstars from the 1980s, and is going out with an equally big bang as she entered the music scene in 1983 with her debut album, ‘She’s So Unusual’. Spawning the smash-hit singles ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’, ‘Time After Time’, ‘She Bop’, and ‘All Through The Night’, the album brought her many accolades, among which a Grammy Award. To date, Cyndi Lauper has released 12 studio albums, composed the Tony and Grammy Award-winning score for ‘Kinky Boots’, and racked up plenty of other accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award, three MTV Video Music Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, two American Music Awards, and an induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
